re-Build.

To construct again, to restore – this is the mandate of Toronto Alliance Church (TAC). It was spoken about a city in Scripture and it is our story. “You will rebuild the ancient ruins…” (Isaiah 61:4) There was once some "building" but trouble came to it. Now, with hope in our hearts, there is a re-building. Ruin is not God’s last word to the city – as the church goes, so goes the city.

Our work in the community has grown to the point where we are out of capacity in our current building on 602 Queen Street West. As we pursued alternative buildings, we were drawn remarkably back to our past to a building at 1302 Queen Street West – directly across the street from the former location of Parkdale Tabernacle and the vibrant ministries it housed 100 years ago! 1302 Queen allows us to expand every area of our work – commercial cooking facilities to feed the homeless, rooms to set up permanent food and clothing banks, an enclosed parking area to provide a safe community play area for children and capacity to seat up to 700 people.

re-Quest.

We believe that the vision of rebuilding the church in the urban core resonates in the hearts of many. From the beginning, it has been a work that has been larger than our own congregation and we continue to look beyond our congregation for support in prayer, in workers and in finances. Our ask of you is to join us in the re-build. To purchase and renovate 1302 Queen will cost $5 million. Many are already giving out of a passion to be part of what God is doing to restore the city to Himself.
